JOSEPH RUGGIERO AND CONGRESSMAN JOHN HALL HOLD TALKS
WITH RESIDENTS OF LOCAL NURSING HOME

(November 3, 2007, Beacon, NY)

On Saturday November 3rd candidate for Dutchess County executive Joseph Ruggiero and U.S. Congressman John Hall hosted a senior sit down with residents of the Elant at Fishkill nursing home and rehabilitation center. The event took place at 10:00am at the Elant facility located at 22 Robert R. Kasin Way in Beacon NY.

John Hall represents New York's 19th Congressional District. He was elected in November of 2006 helping give Democrats a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. Hall currently lives in Dover. Congressman Hall said, "I really love Dutchess County and I feel a strong connection to the people living here. I look forward to working with Joe to improve the quality of life for all the people in Dutchess."

Ruggiero and Hall gave a brief presentation to the crowd about the importance of senior citizens to the region and then sat down with the residents to answer questions and hear concerns from those in attendance. "It is vital that we take the time to hear from the people of Dutchess County about how they think things are going. Seniors are in the unique position of having experienced the way this county has progressed through the years," said Ruggiero. "I'm so glad that these wonderful folks have invited us to sit down with them and discuss the issues.
