JOSEPH RUGGIERO FOR COUNTY EXECUTIVEThe Dutchess County Democratic Committee officially endorsed Joseph Ruggiero today for the post of County Executive. The endorsement was given at the county convention held at the Polish-American Club at 19 N Bridge Street in the City of Poughkeepsie.
Ruggiero received the nomination from former County Executive Lucille Pattison. Pattison was also present at Ruggiero's formal announcement that took place on May 22nd in Wappingers Falls. The party is united in its support for Ruggiero, who is seeking the top office in county government.
Ruggiero stood in front of the crowd assembled at the convention and thanked them for their support. He asked the committee that he chairs to "imagine the possibilities" of new leadership for Dutchess County. "It is my honor to accept the designation to be the Democratic Candidate for County Executive,"
Supervisor Joseph Ruggiero said. "I look forward to the next five months, traveling around our county, and sharing my ideas with the residents, and hearing their concerns and how we can get county government working again. It is time for us to put people first in Dutchess County," Ruggiero concluded.
