JOSEPH RUGGIERO TO FILE DESIGNATING
PETITIONS FOR THREE PARTIES

(Poughkeepsie New York, July 18, 2007)

County Executive candidate Joseph Ruggiero will be filing designating petitions for three major parties tomorrow. Ruggiero, along with the democratic candidate for County Clerk Richard Anderson, will be filing petitions at 9:30am on Thursday July 19th at the Dutchess County Board of Elections located at 47 Cannon St. in the city of Poughkeepsie. Ruggiero has been endorsed by the Democratic, Independence, and Working Families parties. He more than doubled the minimum required signatures for all three parties.

Ruggiero said, "The support I am receiving from people all over the county and across the political spectrum continues to keep my campaign energized. I was honored by not only my party, but also the Working Families and Independence parties when they chose to endorse me in my race for County Executive. In turn, I promise to run a tireless campaign that will make these voters proud they helped me along my journey to get Dutchess County working again."

Members of the press are invited to come and watch as Ruggiero and Anderson file their petitions tomorrow morning. The period for filing designating petitions ends tomorrow at 5:00pm.
