DUTCHESS COUNTY DEMOCRATS TO
HOLD RALLY WITH STATE CHAIRS

(Poughkeepsie New York, July 25, 2007)

Joseph Ruggiero and the Dutchess County Democratic Committee are holding a rally this weekend in Beacon to thank all the Democratic candidates in the county for their commitment to the political process. The event will feature special guests June O'Neill, Chair of the New York State Democratic Party, and Dave Pollak, Co-chair. The rally will be held at the Howland Cultural Center located at 477 Main St. in Beacon this Saturday July 28 th at 4:00pm.

O'Neill and Pollak will be at the rally to give their support for the candidates running on the Democratic ticket in Dutchess County. Candidates from both the county and town levels will be at the rally to celebrate and show party solidarity. O'Neill and Pollak said, "In the coming elections, we aim to assist Democratic candidates running at every level in New York –– providing the strategic, technical and grassroots support essential for winning campaigns."

Candidates in Dutchess County recently filed petitions and are continuing to hold caucuses to designate candidates for the November elections. This event will allow all candidates running on the Democratic line to celebrate their successes in this process and gain momentum for their individual campaigns. Joseph Ruggiero, Chair of the Dutchess County Democratic Committee and candidate for County Executive said, "I consider myself privileged to be leading the ticket this year. So many great candidates have come out to run as Democrats that I'm sure we will have victories across the county in November."
