NEW YORK STATE LEADERSHIP COMES OUT IN SUPPORT OF JOSEPH RUGGIERO

(Poughkeepsie, New York, September 26, 2007)

Joseph Ruggiero continues to receive support from some of the most high profile politicians in the state in his campaign for Dutchess County Executive. U.S. Representatives Hall, Gillibrand, and Hinchey, Senator Schumer, State Comptroller DiNapoli, and New York Attorney General Cuomo are among the names that have come on board to support the Ruggiero campaign.

This Thursday September 27th State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli will be headlining a sold-out fundraising event for Ruggiero in New Hamburg. On Sunday Senator Charles Schumer will be at another event in Millbrook to benefit the Ruggiero campaign. Andrew Cuomo, New York's Attorney General, will be at an event supporting Ruggiero in October. Big name politicians and Democratic Party leadership, including State Chair June O'Neill, have been visiting Dutchess County all summer in order to drum up support for Ruggiero.

"We have been lucky to receive the support from Key Democrats from all over New York State including our Congressional Delegation and now Our Attorney General, our State Comptroller and our esteemed Senator" said Ruggiero. "This race is really heating up and we are headed for victory but help from people all over Dutchess County and the work they are doing will be what puts us over the top."

This is the first time elected officials from the state and national levels have paid so much attention to a race in Dutchess County. The level of support Ruggiero has received, not only from high status politicians, but also from the voting public in Dutchess County shows that he is on a clear path to victory in November.
